Yanna Darilis has been in the broadcast industry for over 25 years having worked on major Greek and American television channels as an on camera talent presenting lifestyle, fitness, wellness and beauty segments, producer, writer and director. Her specialty is live broadcasts, having worked predominately on live morning shows. Yanna also specializes in exercise science and was trained under some of the founding fathers of Exercise Science at her Alma-Ata C.U.N.Y, Queens College where she earned a BS in Phys. & Health Ed. Yanna is also a Certified Integrative Nutritionist & Health Coach. She is a published author with the first exercise Book for Greece, “Love your Body”.
Yanna has also earned a BS in Film & Television, and was the Associate Director of Film & Media studies at New York College, in Athens. Greece. Currently she is the President & CEO of the 30 year Greek- American Television Channel, New Greek Television, distributed on Spectrum-Time Warner, RCN & Bell Fibe, Canada.
Highlights of Yanna’s career include Master of Ceremony for the opening and closing Ceremonies of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, guest segment host on NBC’s TODAY show and guest segment host on E Entertainment’s Tara Reid’s Travel Adventures. Her extensive career includes hosting, writing and directing over 80 travel and cooking features on Greece. Yanna shares her travel experience as a contributor to the huffingtonpost.com, and health and fitness articles on thriveglobal.com. Her latest appearance as Host of the PBS Series “Mediterranean Blue” aired nationwide in the United States on various PBS affiliates, and in Greece on OTE TV. Yanna also organizes and is a moderator for the United Nations, Staff Recreation Council, Salus Network Panels.
